27 Nov T34 Race Results

We ran 5 heats instead of 3 because it's too much fun.
 

First Place        Jason Keiter at 20 points with 2 cuts.

Second Place    Richard Hartwig 21 points with 2 cuts.

Third place        Monty Welch at 50 points with 20 cuts.

Fourth Place       Tom Dodd at 65 points with 29 cuts.

Pylon cuts are now the predominant factor in winning.  Example:  Tom Dodd took 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st and 2nd in the 5 heats respectively.    That adds up to only 7 points overall beating Monty at 10 points, Jason at 16, and Richard at 17.    Tom ended up with 29 cuts pushing him way beyond contention at 7+2*29=65 points overall.  Even if Tom had only 5 cuts he still would of been in last place overall after crossing the line first in almost every heat.   

BBQ Hot Dogs were also served after 2nd heat.  Everyone at field was fed.  Thank you pylon judges, counters, and start judge.  Look for an email announcing time for the next race.

Tom Dodd would of been tied for first place with 4 points if he did not have the 6 cuts which raised his points to 10.

First Place: Jeff Robinson again.  OS46 AX

 

Second Place: Jason Keiter (the fix is in) Magnum 46

 

Third Place: Tom Dodd with 4 cuts.

 

Fourth Place: Richard Hartwig

 

Fifth Joe I forgot your last name.

 

Again Jeff Robinson proved to be the point winner with two seconds and a first place finish.  Tom Dodd tied him with two 1st place and one 3rd place finish but had 4 cuts sending him into 3rd place for the overall.  Jason Keiter managed a second overall after slipping some bills into his counters pocket.  Next T-34 race is schedule for Sunday Oct  23rd at 10AM sharp.

Club Announcement

 

May 1st... all engines will be required to have an effective muffler

on their planes if their engines are over .25... to cut down the noise.

This is important so as to not annoy the neighbors to the West of the field and create complaints which could result in loss of field.
